SIBU: Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud and wife Toh Puan Sri Ragad Kurdi Taib were here yesterday for a Chinese New Year visit.

They first visited Second Finance Minister Dato Sri Wong Soon Koh, followed by a visit to Sibu Municipal Council chairman Datuk Tiong Thai King.

Later, His Excellency and entourage proceeded to the residence of KTS Group managing director Dato Henry Lau.

They also visited Hock Peng Organisation’s managing director Datuk Toh Chiew Hock.

Also in the entourage were Second Minister of Resource Planning and Environment Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan, Assistant Minister for Science Research and Biotechnology Dr Annuar Rapaee, Assistant Minister for Public Health Datuk Dr Jerip Susil and Engkilili assemblyman Dr Johnnical Rayong.
